bliss should be your dominant vibration

if it isn't yet, it will be soon <3

Most people are convinced that once they reach a certain level of achievement, joy is inevitable. The conditioned belief being that if we continue living in accordance with what looks good to society, eventually our lives will feel good. BUT - the way it feels inside of a life that is widely accepted by society, oftentimes feels like a series of tiny deaths, getting darker each time you abandon your Self for the sake of a societal image. It’s like a house that’s exterior is picturesque- storybook shingles and white picket fenced, but when you open the front door, emits a rotten odor and is infested with rats. When it feels bad to live in who gives a fuck about what it looks like on the outside??? Every time you neglect an internal desire or ignore a subtle pull on your curiosity, you move yourself one degree further from the direction of your Highest Self. ~ (aka calling, soul’s blueprint, God, individuation, purpose or whatever verbiage feels beautiful and right and true to you. For me, Highest Self is a woman that is at her healthiest and freest, my 2.0 Self, who I have multiple pages in my journal describing.)

Every time we make a decision in life, we decide whether to follow the path of curiosity and excitement or adherence to societal conditioning/ fear. To continue on in perfect compliance with the cultural expectations placed on you, is to give your life force to upholding a racist, patriarchal system.

sidebar for context and some grace ✮⋆˙ In the distant past, acting out of fear was literally vital to the continuation of humanity. The fear of standing out in a society is a function of the very early evolutionary development of humans. At the beginning- the most dangerous thing an individual could be was the outlier. Luckily now, we no longer die from predator attacks or starvation if we don’t fit in with our immediate community, but our brains still have the same biological hardware as when this was the case. We still have the proclivity to act in ways that cause the least amount of commotion, the least amount of disruption. A human woman is the only species that will put herself in an enclosed space with someone who feels threatening, just to avoid causing a stir. This is how deep the conditioning goes. From birth, society conditions us to fit into the hierarchy. We detest feeling like the outlier, it goes against all of our biology. ✮⋆˙

To choose to act in a way that does not adhere to cultural normalcy, is truly the scariest thing, but also the most conscious. To make the choice that is in alignment with intuition, as opposed to external expectations, will feel terrifying. But if it feels terrifying, it most likely is the step you should be taking. It should scare you, but feel expansive; it should feel like freedom.

This is the path. The path that becomes a life that is full and true and light. A life where joy is the dominant emotion and the minutia of a day feels like light through clouds.

This path reveals itself to us when we make choices that are steeped in awareness. When we make choices not out of fear, but out of curiosity.

The secret is knowing that nothing external can fill you, you are full- now.
